Governor Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama instructed to the ranks of Regional Units to
commit sending the data to open data routinely. Thus all the data will be
always renewable. “For all SKPD, please send data to open data routinely, he
said on the sideline of city Portal Open Data launching, at City Hall, Tuesday
(6/30).
He
acknowledged, the information transparency brings benefit for government and
citizen. Citizen could assist government in solving problem. “The more data
is opened, the easier government and citizen will get,” he expressed.
If
there are any regional unit neglect to send data then it will be indicated as cheating action. “If you won’t share
the data, it means you cheating on me. Actually smart city concept is pretty
easy, the keys are openness and public participation,” he uttered.
Ahok
exemplifying the case of 2013 city budget, when he shared it to the internet
even he was assisted by kind of application to investigate the existence of sneaky budget. By this means, such
application succeed in decreasing violation action and corruption in City
Administration.
“I’ll
be happy to demote the leader if he/she won’t share the data not only demotion
but also revoking the allowance,” he asserted.
On that
occasion, whole regional unit headmen signed the open data commitment and symbolically represented by Ii
Karunia, Head of Communication,
Informatics and Public Relations Department (Diskominfomas), Tuty
Kusumawati, Head of Regional Development Planning and Head of Legal Affairs Bureau,
Sri Rahayu and Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede.
As known, in the launchi ng, at
least there are 403 accessible data set. Jakarta is the first province which have
portal open data with 15 regional units contributing by sending the data
routinely.
